The initial sculpt of Embla done by another artist. It was a great start to developing her character but she needed further refinement to push her appeal and youth.
Paintover done by a concept artist. One of the key changes was that she had to look a bit younger, in her late teens. The following model changes were done by me.
Roughpaw was quite a tricky character to get right. The main challenge was to make sure he was still a bear while maintaining his character.

I was overseeing another artist creating the sculpt, but due to limited time and lack of resources, I ended up stepping in and created the final sculpt of the character.
The Elfling was already in a really good place when I came on board, but I guided the artist through some small modeling tweaks to push some appeal into the face.

'Making of' Embla
In addition to the characters, I also directed and edited this ‘Making of’ video for the social channels. Despite the challenges, having limited screen recordings of the game team’s work as well as filming with an iphone, I am happy with how we were able to highlight the team and their character process without becoming overly technical or lengthy.
